Bruce Vandenberg
Bruce has significant experience in business management and has been involved in successfully managing businesses across diverse sectors. He is currently a director and investment manager at Noble Rock Capital.
Noble Rock Capital is a private investment vehicle and one of the largest shareholders in Infinity Energy SA.
As a result of his investment management role, Bruce takes an active involvement in overseeing the day to day management of some of Noble Rock’s investee companies. Bruce is currently actively involved in the management of Infinity Energy SA, the Virto Group (CEO) and Sports Brands Corporation (Director).
The Virto Group manufactures and supplies industrial equipment to the mining and quarrying industries worldwide. Sports Brands Corporation owns and controls classic sporting brands and events, and actively markets and promotes these events in a contemporary and commercially successful format.
Prior to joining Noble Rock Capital in December of 2009, Bruce was the Chief Operating Officer at Portsmouth City Football Club. During his two years at the Club, Bruce was responsible for re-inventing the non-footballing part of the business. This included all commercial operations, partnerships and activities. Bruce implemented 15 key projects, including new systems in finance, the ticket office, automatic turnstiles, digital advertising boards, hospitality suites, website and a new commercial partners program. In addition Bruce implemented a series of stadium upgrades and oversaw the building of an extension to the South Stand and a roof over the Milton End.
Prior to joining PCFC, Bruce was the managing director and founder of Interactive Rights Management Ltd (IRM), a company involved in the worldwide exploitation of intellectual property on interactive platforms. Bruce founded IRM in October 2004 and remains the largest single shareholder. Between 2000 and 2004, Bruce was a director of interactive media at Celador International and his responsibilities included the global commercialisation of Celador’s programme brands including Who wants to be a Millionaire? Prior to joining Celador, Bruce was involved in an internet start-up and built and ran News International’s Internet Service Provider, the CurrentBun, which was sold to World Online after six months.
